How It Works

How to Use the 10FtDrillBit

Seven straightforward steps to drill long, hard-to-reach paths for wire, cable, conduit, pull string, and more.

01

Drill Your Entry Point

Drill through the top plate, bottom plate, floor system, ceiling joist, or your target area.

02

Attach Your Bit

Attach your own compatible spade bit or 1/4-inch hex shank tool to the starting section.

03

Insert the First Section

Insert the first 3-foot section into the hole and begin drilling through the cavity.

04

Add Extension Sections

Connect additional 3.5-foot sections using the included hex wrench and set screws. Tighten all set screws before continuing.

05

Guide the Bit Through

Carefully guide the bit through the drilling path. Some wobble is normal with long extensions.

06

Attach Your Material

Once through, attach wire, cable, conduit, or pull string to the end of the bit.

07

Pull and Remove

Pull the material into place while carefully removing the bit sections one at a time.

Safety Notes

Read Before You Drill

  • Confirm there are no electrical wires, plumbing, gas lines, or other hazards before drilling.
  • Interior walls are preferred.
  • Choose a location with at least 45 inches of headroom.
  • Hold onto the bit so it does not fall inside the wall.
  • Tighten all set screws before drilling.
  • Wrap joints with duct tape for extra security.
  • Some wobble is normal with long extensions.
  • The finish is practical, not decorative.
